Sin City Nitro Encounter – February 4th – 7th 2016

2016 Nitro Encounter Schedule & Information

Dates:
February 4th -7th 2016

Wednesday February 3rd:
We will allow vendors, EZ Ups and teams to set up starting at 11:00am. If you pre signed up you can check in as well. We will take race signups in the hobby shop starting at 11:00am – 5:00pm. Please make sure you have all class info, transponder numbers and entries paid for.

Thursday February 4th:
7:00am – Gates and hobby shop open. We will take race signups in the hobby shop starting at 11:00am – 5:00pm. Please make sure you have all class info, transponder numbers and entries paid for.

8:00am – Controlled practice will start at 8:00am and will conclude at 8:00pm. This will be an “open” controlled practice of 15 drivers at a time and will be rotated every 7mins. Drivers will be required to marshal after each run. Each driver will receive 2 tickets per class they entered and will get 12 hours to use them. When practice ends at 8:00pm you should have used all tickets. If you have any tickets left over they will be voided and not used for any practice sessions on Friday.

Friday February 5th:
6:30am – Gates open

7:00am – One hour of practice on the morning of qualifying for those that did not get a chance to practice on Thursday. The two ticket rule still applies.

8:10am – Mandatory drivers meeting

8:30am – Round one of qualifying.

Qualifiers will be 7 minutes long. We will resort all qualifying heats after the first round is completed.

Saturday February 6th:
6:30am – Gates open

8:30am – Round three of qualifying.

After the conclusion of the third round of qualifying we will set up the mains. Top 12 advance direct to the A Main and three will bump up from lower mains. Main event order will be determined using the fastest 2 out of three qualifiers. Once mains have been set we will run the lower mains on Saturday afternoon/evening.

Sunday February 7th:
6:30am – Gates open

8:30am – Main events will start

TBD – All A Main warm ups.

Nitro Buggy Main Lengths:
Sportsman:

A Main 30mins, B Main 20mins, C Main 15mins D Main and below 8mins

Intermediate:

A Main 30mins, B Main 20mins, C Main 15mins D Main and below 10mins

Expert:

 A Main 45mins, B Main 30mins, C main 20mis D Main and below 15 mins

Nitro Truggy Main Lengths:
Sportsman:

A Main 30mins, B Main 20mins, C Main 15mins D Main and below 10mins

Open:

 A Main 45mins, B Main 30mins, C main 20mins, D Main and below 15 mins

Electric Buggy Main Lengths:
All electric mains will be 10 mins

Trophy Presentation:
We will start the trophy presentation 30mins after the final A Main has concluded.

 Track Conditions:
The track will be ran dry/blue groove. We will blow off the race surface on an as need bases for practice day. The track will get blown off before each qualifier and main events.

Note:
Trailer Parking:

There will be very few parking spots available inside the track fencing. This will be a first come first serve bases. We will not save or hold any spots and all trailers must be parked in the space by Thursday at 5:00pm. Due to the fact that you are parking next to a batting cage this will be “park at your own risk” and RC Tracks and/or the Sports Center is not responsible for damaged vehicles. We will not charge a fee for these spaces. All other parking will be located approx. 500ft from the track in the back parking lot.

Pre Signups:
Call the hobby shop during normal operating hours to prepay your entry fee. See flyer for entry fees. We will ONLY accept PAID pre signup.

In order to process you entry fee you MUST have all the following ready

Track rental/testing after the race:
February 8th – 10th

We will allow teams to test after the event on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. You can leave your pits and tents set up if you would like as well. Gates will open at 8:00am and run until dark. We will have all scoring monitors and timing systems up and running for each test day.

Pricing:
$150 each day for up to a maximum of 4 drivers. The 5th driver plus is $35.00 each.

For a single person testing $40

If a team wants a private rental and would like to shut the facility down to any outside drivers they can do so for a $1000 fee and must be booked by February 3rd.  This will only be applicable on Tuesday and Wednesday. This option will not be available Monday after the event.
